Grants Awarded
The Arts Council of the Velocity Interoperability Network publishes a report on the awards it has made every quarter, together with the budget available for the rounds ahead. This first report covers the transition period from 10 August to 5 September 2026, during which member organisations transferred their arts funds to the Council's interim secretariat, and records the position at establishment on 6 September 2026.
The figures are drawn from the returns made by member organisations and from the records of the interim secretariat. All 169 awards made during the transition period are honoured by the Council in full and on their original terms. Figures for the transition period are provisional and will be revised in the next report where late returns are received.

Awards by programme. The interim programmes correspond to the four programmes the Council now operates. The nine public art commissions transferred on establishment are counted as awards; their details are on the Public Art page.

Awards by site. Applicants are recorded against the Network site at which they live, work or are based. The distribution reflects the arrangements previously made by member organisations rather than any decision of the Council; the Council will publish a comparison against the resident population of each site in its first annual report.

The budget for the first year. The Council's budget for the period from 6 September 2026 to 31 August 2027 was settled at establishment. It is funded by contributions from member organisations in place of the arts funds they previously operated.

Register of awards. Every award made by the Council is entered in the register of awards, giving the programme, the round, the recipient, the site, the amount and a one-line description of the funded activity. The register of interim awards is being compiled from the records of member organisations and will be published in full with the next quarterly report. Recipients who wish to check their entry before publication should write to contact@arts.gov.vin.
Reporting schedule. The next report, covering the quarter ending 30 November 2026, will be published in December 2026 and will include the decisions of the first Project Grants round. Subsequent reports follow the quarters ending 28 February, 31 May and 31 August 2027. The Council's first annual report and accounts will be published in autumn 2027.
